Jidenna was a recent guest on The Breakfast Club Power 105.1FM to talk about his debut album “The Chief”, the influences, inspiration and value proposition of the album.
One of the things Jidenna shared his views on was the just concluded 2017 Grammy’s awards. He said doesn’t see the award as the highest regard in music as opposed to what others think of it.The artiste was asked about his thoughts on the current political climate in America.
It doesn’t change me, I already have a vision of what I want the world to look like regardless of the president, I did put certain things in the album but I don’t make music that is overtly political all the time,or “conscious”, Jidenna says.
Later during the interview, Jidenna delved more into talking about “The Chief” album.
“When you buy this album, you’re changing society, you’re buying into a new lifestyle, that’s what “The Chief” is about,” Jidenna remarked finally about the album.
